Michael teaches all ages, from beginner to advanced. With more than 15 years experience, his adaptable teaching style can help you with whatever you want to learn: classical, popular, improvisation, learn-by-ear, creative exploration, and more!

*In-home studio instruction provided on Yamaha U-3 Upright Piano. Advanced students can opt for lessons at Holy Trinity Anglican Church on a Yamaha Grand Piano or 4-manual Casavant Organ.

Theory

Many students benefit greatly from step-by-step instruction in theory, while others simply want to explore ideas as they come up. Understanding the mechanics behind music is an important and exciting process, and Michael can help you along the way.

Composition

While Michael specializes in contemporary acoustic composition, he's committed to helping his students untether their creative voices, in whatever style that may be.
